New Cuisine on Lakeshore:
New tantalizing cuisine is a staple of Lakeshore Avenue. Try Shakewell’s new salad with wild arugula, cara cara oranges, purple daikon radish, and french feta, or try their grilled Tombo tuna. Bardo has ravioli with Bellwether ricotta cheese, wild mushrooms, and winter squash. Arizmendi has a new type of seasonal pizza to try daily!
Mocktails on Lakeshore: Looking for a new experience? Peet’s has a recipe for a “Coffee Lemonade Martini” mocktail for those that are keeping dry January going or are looking for a creative mocktail. Ingredients are: brewed Peet’s Cafe Domingo coffee, two tablespoons honey, six ounces of fresh lemon juice, and two cups ice. Looking for mocktails ready to serve? Shakewell and Bardo also have delicious mocktails on their menus.
Looking for new experiences for kids? Oakland Gymboree has Crawlers Classes designed to support your baby’s mobility and fun learning for toddlers and children up to five years old. It is also a wonderful place to plan kids’ birthday parties!
Valentine’s Fun for Everyone!
Valentines come in all shapes and sizes and is fun to celebrate for you and yours, you and a friend, or treating yourself to all kinds of treats sold to celebrate the day. Find accessories for your outfit at Maribel and reserve a date night at Bardo’s, Shakewell, or Lin Jia. Silver Moon Kids has adorable Valentine’s accessories, stickers, and more for kids, and Arizmendi and Colonial Donuts make special pastries and donuts for the day. The Cat House, Caña and Heart and Dagger Saloon have are open late for after-dinner drinks.
Looking for a mellow evening to eat in or have company? All restaurants on Lakeshore have take-out options. If you are having a large gathering, you can get delectable catering from Proposition Chicken and Rico Rico Taco. Don’t forget the delicious desserts are from Arizmendi or Colonial Donuts!

Heart and Dagger Saloon Turns 13!
Congratulations to Heart and Dagger Saloon for reaching the milestone of their 13th Anniversary! They are celebrating with a big free party on Friday, February 3rd – 8pm!
