Warm & Fun on Lakeshore, even in the Rain

Proposition Chicken always has a cozy pick-me-up with their delicious matzo ball soup. Shakewell has several mouth-watering dishes, and their homey papas bravas hit the spot on a rainy day.

Arise Yoga and Hipline has several classes during the week to help you be reflective in a warm and welcoming environment. Silver Moon Kids has books, activities, and toys! They have a lot of animal-themed toys (including foxes) for family fun.
Looking for gear so your kids can enjoy the wet weather and maybe jump in some puddles? Silver Moon Kids has used raingear for kids (in good condition). Gymboree offers fun classes for kids during the week and is a great space for birthday parties!
Big Milestone & Congrats to Rico Rico Taco, and Welcome Rico Rico Vegano!
February was a huge month for Rico Rico Taco! It turned 4 years old and had celebratory specials and a Mariachi band playing most of the afternoon.
Turning four years old is a big milestone for small, locally-owned businesses. However, Rico Rico Taco had an anniversary and expanded its restaurant!
Rico Rico Vegano debuted on February 9 and serves “A taste of Rico Rico Taco with a vegan twist“. Rico Rico Vegano has the same tasty variety of Rico Rico Taco but it is all vegan! Think deliciously flavored mushroom, cauliflower or nopales tacos and more. The location is 677 Rand Ave, come on by!
Lakeshore Happenings – Odds and Ends
What’s happening on Lakeshore? Hipline held an outdoor shimmy pop season during a break in the rain. Caña hosted a First Friday jazz night and is having different themes for its Sunday Fundays. Bardo expanded their hours to be open on Monday.
On a sad note, Merritt Bakery closed.
