Exciting Happenings

A Warm Welcome to Rico Rico Taco

We are looking forward to the upcoming opening of Rico Rico Taco! The owners, Ricardo Montero (whose family owns Tacos El Gordo) and his wife, Marisol Montero, (whose family owns Taqueria Sinaloa, whose Berkeley location just got a Michelin star!) are creating a delicious menu that will feature tacos al pastor, fish tacos and tortillas made by hand on a very large comal. Members of both families will be doing the food preparation, we cannot wait to taste these scrumptious dishes!

A warm welcome to Ten11

Ten11, a local sneaker and clothing boutique that was previously located in a storefront adjacent to the Leaning Tower of Pizza,  celebrated their soft re-opening at 3344 Lakeshore on Saturday, September 29.  It’s an amazing shop named after the 1,100 pairs of shoes that once lived in owner Peter Abramov’s apartment. In addition to sports caps, they’ll be featuring very high-end and/or limited edition sneakers, as well as many shoes under $100.  Mr. Abramov is excited about their move to a location with far more pedestrian traffic and his goal is to create a vibrant and welcoming space with live music and appearances by local athletes. We are equally thrilled to have Ten11 as a member of the Lakeshore Avenue community.
