Message from Steve Kopff
Update on the landscaping project of the median at Trestle Glen Rd/Lakeshore intersection:
We made good progress again on Sunday getting almost all of the plants in other that several flats of ground covers and sages plus the daffodil bulbs. That should be easily completed this Sunday and then all that is left is to spread the decomposed granite over the space to help keep the weeds at bay and retain moisture.
Alex Montgomery Preston, my co-organizer, gets credits for taking pictures again.
Thank you for everyone who sent emails to the branch manager at Wells Fargo. I received a call from him late last week and he is now working with me to get their corporate headquarters to donate $500! See, I knew we could do it!
And a huge THANK YOU to all the people who have signed on as sponsors so far. We have $ $3,150 in pledged/received donations so we are about 2/3 from our goal. We plan to do other phases next year as well so ideally, we will raise more for the future plantings. For those wishing to make a tax-deductible donation to fund the project make your check payable to “Pollinator Posse” and write “Trestle Glen Median” in the memo section. If your employer does donation matching then think about doubling your donation by having them match it. Mail your checks to:
