Avenue Partnerships
At the Lakeshore Avenue Business Improvement District (BID), we believe that strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and shared experiences. That’s why we proudly partner with local businesses, city leaders, and dedicated community members to host events that bring our neighborhood to life.
From lively street gatherings and neighborhood clean-ups to seasonal celebrations and safety events, our events are designed to do more than entertain—they strengthen the bonds between neighbors, enhance public safety, and celebrate the unique character of Lakeshore Avenue.
Every initiative we support is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: when people come together, the entire community thrives. By creating welcoming spaces where residents, merchants, and visitors can interact, we’re building a safer, more vibrant neighborhood that reflects the spirit of everyone who calls Lakeshore home.
Join us at one of our upcoming events and experience firsthand how community pride, local partnership, and a shared vision for the future are transforming Lakeshore Avenue into more than just a place to shop or dine—it’s a place to belong.

LAKESHORE STRUT
Thursday 8/13, 5-9pm
18 Bay Area nonprofits, event producers, and community projects. Six venues across Grand, Park Lake, and Lakeshore. One simultaneous happy hour in the Lakeshore LGBTQ+ Cultural District. “Lakeshore Strut” is a first-of-its-kind Oakland Pride event inviting you to find your place, or bar hop from space to space. It’s a time to go out with your friends, to make new friends, connect with the hosting organizations, check out the businesses in the neighborhood, and make plans for the weekend. We’re connecting individuals, connecting organizations, and creating possibilities that only happen when we come together. This is how we show our pride in Oakland for Oakland Pride. This is community, full stop.
