💘 Lakeshore Love: By the Numbers
We had over 70 visitors submit receipts from Lakeshore businesses, totaling nearly $4,000 in local spending. That’s a powerful reminder of how much impact choosing local can have.
Our lucky winner—selected at random using a digital randomizer—submitted a receipt from Obliesco and chose to receive their $250 gift certificate to Bardo. Huge congrats to our winner, and thank you to everyone who participated and kept the Lakeshore Love going strong!
🧹 Community Clean-Up: Showing Love to Our Streets
We’re grateful to the Oakland LGBTQ Center for hosting a neighborhood clean-up in partnership with Grand Avenue Business Association and LABID. Volunteers focused primarily on Grand Avenue, helping with planting and beautification to freshen up the corridor for spring.
LABID also addressed the Caltrans off-ramp garbage buildup and the trees along Lake Park that were recently plowed down by a vehicle. It was a powerful reminder that small actions—together—make a visible difference. Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and showed love to our neighborhood.

April 4, 2026 – Hop & Shop
Saturday, April 4th | 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Join us for Party on the Green at Lakeshore Baptist Church for a fun-filled morning with crafts, games, and their famous corn dog lunch! This family-friendly event is sponsored by Lakeshore Baptist Church.
At 11:00 AM, the parade kicks off and the Hop & Shop Egg Hunt begins along Lakeshore. Hop from business to business collecting eggs at participating shops. While you’re hopping and shopping, keep an eye out for clues that could lead you to one of our Golden Eggs, filled with treats and treasures donated by local businesses.
The event is free to attend, but donations are always appreciated and help the BID continue hosting fun, family-friendly events all year long.
