Lakeshore Spring Festival 2026
Saturday, May 30 | 11am – 7pm
Lakeshore Ave between Lake Park & Mandana Blvd
Free | All Ages
Mark your calendars for the inaugural Lakeshore Spring Festival, all day long on Saturday, May 30th. Lakeshore is a premier destination in Oakland and in the greater Bay Area, and it has been over a decade since there has been a street fair in the Lakeshore District. The Lakeshore Spring Festival will be a destination event, and a monumental launch of community fun in the springtime.
Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and everyone you know to help celebrate the return of a Lakeshore street festival! One of Oakland’s liveliest and most beloved neighborhoods is thrilled to host this festival and revitalize its event presence in the city. With two stages, outdoor dining from amazing local restaurants and food vendors, a kids’ zone, an artisan vendor market, a beer garden, craft cocktails, and more, Lakeshore Spring Festival will be one for the books.
Lakeshore is home to incredible, award-winning restaurants who will be cheffing up some special bites and beverages for the festival, alongside tasty local food vendors set up all along the avenue. The festival is designed to help uplift the many wonderful, small businesses that line Lakeshore Ave; this will be a community celebration for residents and visitors to enjoy the many offerings of the area.
This festival is family-friendly, all ages, and all are welcome. For little ones, there will be plenty of activities in the Kids’ Zone to keep them having fun all day, including games, arts & crafts, special family-friendly performances and more! The festival will be a blast for the whole family.
Entertainment
The Lakeshore Main Stage, presented by the Oakland LGBTQ Center, will be bringing the house down all day with a fantastic lineup of local artists. Oakland’s vibrant music scene will be showcased at Lakeshore Spring Festival, with a wide variety of genres and styles featured by talented local bands and DJs.
The main stage performers are DJ JOJO, Osada 3, La Gente SF, Rumbaché, Jafin, and The Futurelics. Check out their music beforehand and come to the festival hyped to hear their sets – bring your besties, have some snacks and drinks, and get ready to dance the day away. Make sure to stick around for the 90’s Dance Party with Jafin, powered by HipLine. There will also be a Fashion Show curated by Meeka Star & Church of Fashion House of Culture and Creativity.

Thank you to all the amazing sponsors who are making the festival possible! Without the generosity and support of these community partners, Lakeshore Spring Festival would not be able to come to life and bring joy, music, and fun to the neighborhood.

Celebrate Small Business Week 2026
Small Business Week is the perfect opportunity to rediscover Lakeshore Avenue—or fall in love with it for the first time. With more than 40 locally owned businesses lining the avenue, you’ll find everything you need in one welcoming, walkable destination. Treat yourself to a fresh haircut or manicure, browse curated vintage and resale shops for one-of-a-kind finds, or stock up on health and wellness essentials from trusted neighborhood providers.
And of course, no visit is complete without enjoying the incredible variety of dining options available. From quick bites to sit-down meals, Lakeshore’s restaurants offer something for every craving and every occasion. Whether you’re grabbing coffee with a friend or making a full day of it, supporting local has never been more enjoyable.
This year, we’re especially proud to be part of the City of Oakland’s Economic & Workforce Development Department’s “This is Town Business” campaign. This citywide initiative celebrates the energy, diversity, and resilience of small businesses, and we’re excited to see Lakeshore Avenue shine as part of that story.
Give Back at the Community Clean-Up
Spring is also a time to refresh and renew—and that includes our shared spaces. Join us for the Lakeshore Avenue Community Clean-Up on Sunday, May 17, from 10 AM to 1 PM. We’ll be meeting at Splashpad Park before heading out to tackle key areas along the avenue.
Volunteers will help clear debris, pick up litter, and revitalize the greenery stretching from the freeway exit to the heart of Lakeshore. We’ll also be planting flowers and refreshing planters to keep the avenue looking bright and inviting for everyone who visits. Tools, gloves, trash bags, and water will all be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in. It’s a simple way to make a big impact while connecting with neighbors and fellow community members.
Refresh Your Space at Community Shred Day
Looking to declutter and get organized this spring? Don’t miss the Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 25, from 10 AM to 2 PM on nearby Grand Avenue. Hosted by Odalis Ordonez Insurance Agency, this free event provides a safe and secure way to dispose of sensitive documents—no cost, no hassle.
It’s also a great chance to stop by, say hello, and enjoy the sense of community that makes Lakeshore so special. Pair it with a stroll down the avenue, and you’ve got a productive (and enjoyable) day planned.
Donate to the Lakeshore Spring Festival!
The Lakeshore Avenue Association is setting a goal to raise at least $5,000 from the community at large to launch an amazing, FREE, family-friendly festival worthy of the name Lakeshore. Your donations can help show off this beautiful neighborhood in all its glory, and bring out thousands of people to join the festivities on May 30th and many future events.
The Association is asking area residents and friends of the community to donate any amount to bring the festival to life. Whether you can give $5, $50, $500, or $5,000, whatever is a comfortable contribution makes a difference and will help bring the community together. Your support can help welcome the world to this all inclusive festival by the Lake, hosted by the iconic Lakeshore District.
