New on Lakeshore

Coming Soon: The Vegan Mob is bringing their healthy, plant-based BBQ to Lake Park Avenue! Their vegan deliciousness will be located at 500 Lake Park Ave.

The Vegan Mob was founded by Toriano Gordon. After helping at-risk and formerly incarcerated youth in the San Francisco Bay Area for a decade, he decided to pursue his lifelong passion of plant-based cooking. His menu includes traditional soul food recipes and barbecue fusion. We hear its delicious, check it out!

500 Lake Park Ave is the old Kwik Way (and the old Merritt Bakery) and once EAH Housing gets the necessary funding it will be affordable housing with 50 units. For more information, please see this detailed Oakland North article.

  1. About the Vegan Mob, I’m looking forward to their BBQ “beef” sandwiches and I’m told that their Mac and “Cheese” is fabulous as well.
